Joining ALU has been my most significant achievement, from the meeting, associating and networking with great people from all over Africa to interacting with different African cultures. Engaging in solving some of Africa's challenges, interning with great Tech companies, and now adding up new skills to my curriculum, to mention a few, have fueled me further into being an open-minded and ready to learn person. Over the years, I have achieved a lot more than I thought I could and am very thankful that Kuumba Education and my Title sponsors have played a significant role in accelerating my growth. I am currently a third-year student; I have gained technical skills and an interest in cloud computing so far. I am hoping to use my learnt to solve challenges facing the Education sector in Kenya. I believe that I am yet to learn, achieve and give back."

"I am humbled to have been awarded as the second recipient of the Kuumba Education Scholarship to the African leadership university. My first-year journey in ALU has been nothing less than insightful, life-changing and a continuous journey of self discovery and growth. Africa leadership university has always been my dream university and getting a chance to experience it has been a blessing. The mix of cultures in the institution is profound . It made me embrace and value different identities and opinions that have built a new set of principles in me and yet has taught me that we may all come from different places, but we share the same goals. I am currently a second year student pursuing a bachelor degree in global challenges, a course that is very dear to my heart. It has been an interesting journey of learning about the world's greatest challenges while adopting a much more interdisciplinary approach of solving them . Me being able to attend ALU will always be my greatest blessing and I owe it all to God, kuumba education and my title sponsor Esther Garcia Martin for believing in me, being awarded this scolarship is a prove that truly dreams come true. My main aim now is to keep growing and improving as a person so that I can get to impact the world through social enterprenuership and the empowerment of women living in vulnerable communities. "
